I started this website partly because I tend to be a follower, and as all the cool kids seem to have websites, I figured it was worth a try. Someday, when my life has slowed down and I just do it, this website will have three [3] parts:
1. My design portfolio. It is currently not very impressive or extensive, but I hope to remedy that by going here.
2. Photos. My husband and I love taking photos. We have an alarming number of cameras for just 2 people. I will someday post some of the photos that we have taken, as well as some pictures from different events in our life. Our wedding could be one such event.
3. My Blog

ah. My blog. I really have no clear expectations for what this space is going to be. I see it as something that will evolve [and hopefully ripen] with time and a bit of thought. For now, it is a place for me to write about the daily things that happen in my life. There will be photos and maybe some stories or concert reviews. Occasional pictures of my cat. Some of this will be interesting to you, but most of it won’t.

This is an example of a very poor post, and the sort of drivel I hope to avoid in the future. I could delete it, or edit it, but I have left it there for the masses to see. It’s also a reminder to me of just how lame I can get.
However, there are some things I know for certain. Although I care greatly about religion, politics and the like, I will not be writing about them here. I will not post lengthy diatribes about the internal state of my existence. I will not at any time [ever] attempt to be profound or deep.
I could.
I’m just choosing not to.

It’s a phrase that was born out of a family trip to Italy. It involves a very cool Italian tour guide. And his repeated attempts to say “fortified wall” in plain American English.
We liked his version better.

And thought it would be a good name for my future* design endeavors**.

*If I ever end up doing freelance design.
**this in no way steps on the toes of the other design dream YauZaki.
